The Naval Boot from Alden, the New England masters of footwear, is a traditional boot style with derby style open-lacing and a rounded cap toe.
Handmade in Massachusetts by a team of expert cordwainers expressly for Drake’s, the subtle styling and Goodyear welting assures a lifelong shoe that will underpin most outfits with a rugged grace.
In this exclusive style for Drake’s, additional pinking has been applied to the toe cap, and a higher stitched quarter, allowing the boot to better assume the contours of the foot, gives a truly customised, bespoke fit.
Detailed on the Barrie last in a luxurious snuff suede, ten matching agatine eyelets and eight speed hooks ensure a correct fit from the first wear, while crepe soles lend a nonchalance to what is a durable and hard working example of fully fledged footwear.
A detail specific to every Alden shoe is the tempered steel shank contoured to the welt, adding extra strength and longevity to the sole, and offering the shape and support required for a comfortable and abiding wear, that will refine with wear and age, even if its owner doesn’t.
